Deadman in "Good Girls go to Heaven. Bad Girls Go Everywhere"

In 2005 DC comics had the brilliant idea to make a book using some of the best alternative comics creators. The book was called Bizarro World. One of the highlights of the book for me was Deadman by Paul De Filippo and artist Derek Kirk Kim.
In case you didn't know, Deadman is one of my favorite characters and Paul De Filippo story and Derek Kirk Kim's art does Deadman so many kinds of justice. Derek Kirk Kim whimsically depicts the enigmatic Deadman in an expressive cartoony style while De Filippo spins a humorous tale of love in the afterlife.

Paul DeFilippo is the author of well over a hundred short stories and six novels including the story collection “the Emperor of Gondwanaland and Other Stories” and the humor collection “Plumage From Pegasus”. He lives in Providence, Rhode Island and maintains a flourishing second career as a tour guide to H. P. Lovecraft’s gravesite.

Derek Kirk Kim's first graphic novel, "Same Difference and Other Stories", won him major acclaim from the comic book community including earning him a Harvey, an Eisner and an Ignatz award for promising new talent.
