In 2005 DC comics had the brilliant idea to make a book using some of the best alternative comics creators. The book was called Bizarro World. One of the highlights of the book for me was Deadman by Paul De Filippo and artist Derek Kirk Kim.
Paul
DeFilippo is the author of well over a hundred short stories and six
novels including the story collection “the Emperor of Gondwanaland and Other
Stories” and the humor collection “Plumage From Pegasus”. He lives in Providence, Rhode
Island and maintains a flourishing second career as a
tour guide to H. P. Lovecraft’s gravesite.
Derek Kirk
Kim's first graphic novel, "Same Difference and Other Stories", won him
major acclaim from the comic book community including earning him a Harvey, an Eisner and an Ignatz award for
promising new talent.
